It is very sad that she suffered a miscarriage, don’t get me wrong, but why oh why do we have to suffer her every day in the news. I thought they both wanted PRIVACY but they cannot wait to get their faces and woes everywhere can they? I wonder if the long drawn out speech of her miscarriage was written by her by the way?

I dare not say too much about what I feel about MM because I will be jumped on by those of you who think she is a normal regular person, she isn't. If you don't know how she has been criticised in the past few years then you must have your head buried in the sand. They want privacy except when it suits them/her and now they want everyone to know she has had a miscarriage so...

Barsel - I'm sure you'd agree that having a baby and enjoying relative privcacy (there's that word again!) is a lot easier to keep from prying eyes than pretending to miscarry a baby, and expecting that to stay secret.

I simply don;t believe it's possible - it just becomes a ludicrous, and deeply unpleasant, conspiracy theory.

As Mr Lincoln said, and it's as true now as it was then - three people can keep a secret, but only if two of them are dead.
As unpleasant as those rumours that she didn’t give birth to Archie!
I honestly don't know if it is possible to keep either a birth or a miscarriage private when you are in the public eye, but the thing that seems strange is they wanted to keep the birth and everything to do with the birth private whereas I would think that would be news you would want to share. Yet the news you think they would want to be kept private, is being shared.I understand the miscarriage happened in July and yet we are only just hearing about it which goes to show they could have kept this private but it seems Meaghan wanted to share this with others who may have been through this, to tell them there is no shame or stigma and I must admit I never knew there was. Still, if it is of help to some women then fair enough.
There is shame to some.
My MIL feels I have failed in my duty to provide a child to my husband and openly ridiculed my miscarriages
I think that is shocking, I'm so sorry to hear that. Nobody should ever feel they are not worthy because they have been unable to have children.I was married for 9 years before I had my first child, then I had a miscarriage 2 years later. The doctor said, no reason why you shouldn't try again, my Mum said it was Mother Natures way of taking away a baby who might be born with problems. I don't know if that's true, but it helped me to think that.Fortunately I got all the support I needed from my family and friends and I was lucky enough to go on and have 2 more healthy children eventually. MartinMillar that has upset me to hear what you have been through. xx
Shame on your MIL MartinMillar. She sounds horrible. It is not a womans duty to 'provide' children for her husband. I also think a miscarriage is nature's way of aborting a foetus with possible problems.
Miscarriage runs in our family nana had 13 and 1 health child mum had 3 but 4 health children I have not managed any children at all. Apparently that makes me unworthy as a wife! Not that I take a lot of notice of her
MartinMillar - // My MIL feels I have failed in my duty to provide a child to my husband and openly ridiculed my miscarriages //

I know families are strange, but I would have disowned my mother if she had ever said anything as cruel as that to me, or my wife.

I did in fact have no contact with her for more than six years for things she did say - which were a lot less hurtful than that!!
The fact that anyone can think that way is sickening MM. I'm so sorry, not only for your loss, but for having someone so disgustingly toxic in your life.
"I got lots of support on here, bednobs, and I also got ample derision."
Let me ask you then - did that derision make you feel good? , did it make things easier to deal with? did you think to yourself that person deriding me must be a happy well rounded person, not a witch at all?
