I keep getting a white blob low down on my left tonsil. It’s so low down I can’t reach it- I think I have a pit there. How can I tell if it’s tonsillitis or just a place where food etc keeps getting stuck?! I do feel like my voice is a bit gratey and laboured when this happens. And what does it mean considering it keeps recurring and I hardly see anyone due to lockdown?!

It isnt tonsillitis.
It is either food getting stuck in crypt or a tonsilolith neither situations a big deal and neither require medical intervention.

Thank you Sqad. Any idea why I keep getting it?!
It may well be that you were born with large crypts in your tonsils and is just bad luck-;)
Sqad. I have heard of tonsils, but I didn't know they were visible. How can I see my tonsils? Don't reply if you are busy with more important 'patients'.
Open your mouth wide and say ahhhh.
You will see a dangly bit on the middle of the back of your throat, and a swelling either side, it’s those swelling which are your tonsils.
Thanks Vagus. And where can I find my Vagus nerve?
Ha ha, no idea. My name has nothing to do with that, it’s about being a ‘wanderer’ because I wander around the Internet.
That’s me..complex and parasympathetic.
Atheist....just to show how clever i am and without links to the internet-;)....the tonsils in the back of your mouth should really be called your Palatine tonsils WHY because you also have tonsils in your brain, one under each cerebral hemispheres and these are called your cerebral tonsils..there -;)
