Aye...I think the post @19:52 Wed 25th Nov 2020 will soon be toast.

I wouldn't worry too much, even St Gary Lineker is in trouble over Maradonna.
He'll now be in the hands of God.

That's what got Gary into trouble
Corby - // Just read that three days' national mourning has been declared in Argentina. A wee bit of an over-reaction.//

Not to the Argentinians.

They take their heroes really seriously, and Maradona remained a god-like figure all his life.
Didnt he once say British colonialism and imperialism was the worst thing to ever happen in the world? When asked about Spanish colonialism and imperialism,he changed the subject hurriedly(or as we say up here in Escocia)-sleekitly.
Maradona was a genius footballer. Yes, he punched the ball in the net to score his first in the match against England, but his second was just sublime. And, as has been said, had Gary Lineker done it, we English fans would still have been chuckling about it to this day.
Unfortunately, like many a genius, Maradona was flawed, in more ways than one. He had a near 25 year love affair with cocaine, he was a tad too fond of alcohol, he shot at journalists with an air rifle, and controversy followed him wherever he went.
The 'Hand of God' goal aside, he will be remembered as a fantastic footballer and his name will always crop up in future 'Best Player Ever' discussions.
RIP
What is a wold famous cheat. ? There must be numerous incidences recorded. Maybe Roy could give us some the vast evidence ?
I don't think he was a bigger cheat than most footballers. Are there any forwards that don't dive in the penalty area?

He just got caught cheating - and getting away with it - in spectacular style. The referee and linesmen are more to blame for that miscarriage of justice.

Great player.

I posted first Jim, therefore it is unfathomable.

Biased moderation again.
