Thanks, Mamya!

(Lucky puppy!)
All so dramatic...but that poor...lucky...pup.

And did you see the one about the alligator on the golf course?
Question Author
I'd not seen it, Pasta, but I managed to find it on the BBC Youtube channel. Thanks!

This Youtube post is 4 years old but it really shows the size of some of those 'gators!

Always Heart warming to see an animal saved.
Question Author
. . . even if it does mean that another animal was deprived of its lunch, Patsy ;-)
Haha...I know. There's always winners and losers in this life..
My eyesight is poor.....did he keep a cigar in his mouth as he went under the water to rescue the dog?
Question Author
Yes, he did, Gness!

I suppose that, if you're gritting your teeth as you fight an alligator, whatever's in your mouth is going to firmly stay there without you even thinking about it!
My uncle here once took an English man who always had a Woodbine in the corner of his mouth fishing. The man fell in. Uncle put an arm over the boat and hauled the man out...complete with soggy Woodbine still in the corner of his mouth.

Wouldn't you think you'd let the ciggie go to at least shout HELP!
Question Author
No Englishman is ever going to admit that it's the Irish who're actually the ones with brains in their heads though, Gness ;-)
Of course they're not, Chris.....though as a Kerry woman I feel obliged to say....except for the Corkies.... ;-)
Thanks. I'm a sucker for an animal rescue. I watched one of a group of people saving a street dog that was enveloped by a large boa.
