He was hiding out on the sofa in her house after her brother-in-law's pals attacked him. He was there for a bit. But seemed to slip off the script and was not discussed again, or did I miss a plot detail? Grateful for advice.

Well, a Noorul Choudhury (actor) played a character called Mohamed Awad...is that who you mean?
Must say that I can't remember the character at all!

Thanks. Yes that is the one. He was in the very first series. I think it confirms my theory writers forgot and the story moved on without him.
