How do you know you want to live there is you don't know what it is like?
it's impossible to say what it's like living anywhere, it depends on the location of the property . . .

Some parts of Plymouth are very pleasant, others not so nice with drug addicts, homelessness and other anti-social problems - same as most towns.
I really think you need to make a visit of a week or 2...give yourself time to get to know the city, what parts you'd consider living in. Locate the areas where your Housing Association has properties...do you know where they are?
Regarding bus service, which I think you asked about on your other thread...where I am the buses run every 10 minutes on weekdays, 15,20, or hourly on weekends. I have access to 4 different bus routes.
