I am genuinely sad to hear Des has passed away.He is one of the few entertainers I have always admired. He lived to a good age, but unfortunately didn't live as long as he hoped he would. Hopefully there will be some tribute programmes on the TV so we can see him again. R.I.P Des and thanks for keeping us entertained through the years.

I must be honest, I was never keen on Des O'Connor but he seemed like a real gentleman to me which was the thing that struck me about him. RIP.
