Having looked at these paintings I can’t help thinking that some of those paintings labelled “ best of the rest” were better than those which were placed first and second.I know it’sa matter of taste but...What does anyone else think.

Glad there's now a link - I too prefer the best of the rest, in particular the abstract arrangement.
