Are children only in need today?

I support charities, but find the idea of a ‘day’ for children in need very dubious. What about yesterday, and tomorrow?

There's so much you don't understand, Allen.

The charity helps children all year round with the funds it collects.
I see it as a day solely to collect money for the year, not a day, the only day, to care about children in need. But then you see lots of our traditions and causes differently to me.
yes allen
they are only in need today and after today they will be in want

Bit like Christmas, johnny. Be kind, be generous, at Christmas.

Then forgetallaboutit...
Like all 'days' it's used as a focal point and a reminder, like Armistice Day for example.

There is the added bonus of giving virtual people the chance to signal as well.

I hope a life size Pudsey doesnt knock on yer door...
so everything could be continuous
very puritan
but that means no church on sunday ( every day that is!)
and no collecting pensions on thursday

and NOT eccles 3 1- 8 ( every activity under heaven has a season)
An admission for a BA! ;-)
Allen, this what Children in Need does:- raises £37,000,000

I'm guessing young white lives don't matter, children in in is for all children, not for a specific group.

I won't be donating.

agchristie (“ An admission for a BA! ;-)”).

I take it you’re an American, ag, given your absence of irony.
Oi! Don't bring Americans into this...plenty of us understand irony. Or at least try to.
