I want to switch from quarterly to monthly direct debit. No obvious way to do it online, so I emailed them.
They've told me I can't because the name on my bank account is not the same as the one on my licence. And only the account holder can give permission.
I've had both the licence and bank account for 15+ years.
The only difference? Ms on the licence, and Mrs on my bank account.
Aarrgghh...I've written again. I await another complicated and stupid reply.
We have same issue. Direct debits allways been paid by me. License has allways been in my wifes name for some reason. They wont let me add my name to the license. They wont let me change my direct debit to my main bank account. There online system does'nt allow these changes
They appear to make things as difficult as they can for us Pasta , Why?I don't know but I like Sparklys idea , stop paying then start again when they get in touch
I don`t see what difference it makes if someone is Ms, Miss or Mrs and it always annoys me when I`m asked. They wouldn`t ask a man if he was married. I would just cancel it and start again.
