Myself and other family members want to buy a tour 3-bedroom apartment in Turkey Istanbul apartments are relatively cheaper than say Marmaris or izmar, Antalya seems to be cheap to buy an apartment I have never been to Antalya or even Istanbul ,
which area is best to buy and why I need to know about flights from Dublin or Belfast that go to is izmir or Antalya.
Also the Turkish lira is low against the pound but will it rise again ,why is it so low now, then you have the Turkish issues with Armenia that could be a problem in the future if we went and bought an apartment,
So the question is is Turkey a safe bet
adding to that I almost forgot this bloody Corona virus crisis what does the future hold for world travel and European travel

You may have given all the reasons why it would be a dumb idea.
So many questions.....
Anybody serious about buying property in another country would be advised to do some proper research rather than asking randoms on AB for their opinions.
Be warned that you could face the same problem that several AB members who've bought properties (or timeshares) in Cyprus have come up against, which is that flights to popular holiday destinations are generally only seasonal, meaning that you could find it extremely difficult to access your apartment outside of the summer months.

There are no direct flights from either of Belfast airports to Izmir. The only direct flights from Dublin are with Aer Lingus but they only operate seasonally.

There are no direct flights from either Dublin or Belfast City airports. The only direct flights from Belfast International are with Jet2 but, again, they only operate seasonally.

Over the years you have asked many questions about mortgages and buying property in England, N. Ireland, Ireland, abroad (Bulgaria, I think) and a static caravan.
Did you buy the property you was asking questions about in August?

You have already lived, worked and owned property in Thailand. You should be well up to speed with the process of buying property abroad and the pitfalls.

More puzzling, you have made several comments about Muslims and ln one of your posts you wondered why people were holidaying and buying property in Muslim countries. Turkey is a predominantly Muslim country so I can't understand why are considering buying property there. The current president is very pro-Muslim and this makes an interesting read https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-13746679
