And that is why it doesn't exist: It's all exported.
I've been to Glendoick garden centre but haven't heard of Glendoick Whisky.

Well, DI Rebus also liked to partake of it before it was all exported.
A small amout is laid down for the exclusive use of fictional functioning alcoholic detectives.

It's stored in a secure warehouse in Brigadoon until needed.
Any Dick worth his pension would drink 'oirish' in any case. It's smoother with more distillation. How anyone could drink a whiskey called Talisker with any satisfaction is a masochist. Liquid smoked mud imo.
Supposed to be smoked with a peat flavour. Whatever!

I've just popped back to check that Retrocop knows that peat is basically mud that's then dried and burned.

Hard to know what the end product might be given those facts.

The bogtrotters have peat bogs galore but can still distil a superior brew without the need to inflict it on the conniesseur.
