Morning,
I have lost 2st using slimming world (without strictly following it, I must add) but at a rate of 1-2lb per week. However for the last 5 weeks or so, I have roughly stayed the same and on some weeks gained 1lb. This is really frustrating as I still have a long way to go!

I've found out my insullin levels dont adjust properly, so my brain often thinks i am hungry when i'm not! Its not diabetes though & i'm not on medication for it.

However, I have just lost the motivation & drive i had when losing 2lbs a week, I could see that my target weigh was getting closer, but now i've fallen off the wagon - although i try to eat semi slimming world, I have been over eating on syns & not counting them/recording a food diary. I just need some motivation to get back on track.

I dont stay to the SW class as I'm not bothered in what everyone else gains/looses - I'd rather be reading up on success stories or planning meal times for the coming week - although with all good intention, I leave after weigh in & then watch TV or something!

Anyway, if you can think of anything that will perk me up or give me some idea for goal setting (reward charts/counting down my success or ideas to simply make me stick to SW strictly!), please let me know!

Thank you!

As a weight watcher I know how you feel! But I havent done as well as you have!

I havent really been going to my ww classes for the weigh ins for ages and after 5 weeks of eating chocolate and crisps etc i went back to find I only gained about 2.5 pounds which i was pleased about considering how much crap I had eaten!

I havent been back for ages though and cant get motivated myself, so I know what you are going through.

I am going to sort myself out though soon and the only way to do it is:

1. Food Planning - i find that when I dont plan I am more likely to eat crap mainly because I have no food making facilities at work, and i tend to graze like a cow in a field! ;-)

2 I would also suggest you staying at your meetings - my leader is excellent and really gets people motivated. WW is a bit different as she doesnt annouce what people have gained/lost, but we do tend to tell people personally if we have done well or bad! Plus staying at the meetings can be a laugh too!

It is important to know that by staying at the meetings and not watching TV for that one hour means you are
a> receiving at least a little bit of motivation and
b> whilst you are there you are not eating!
anyway that is what the sign says at the ww class!
and then once you do get in, you dont really want to stuff your face as much (if I have had a good week though I do)

You seem to be doing very very well so do not lose faith in yourself. Plan Plan Plan. That is the only way forward!!

You could set yourself special tasks each week that you can carry out to improve your chances.
1. Drink More Water each day
2. Plan Ahead
3. Try something new (new veg, new fruit) - just to make your week a bit more interesting etc
4. Not that I do - but try and exercise - (I say this every weekend - hopefully I will get around to it next
Very well done on the 2 stones! What about getting out clothes from your heaviest? They must be far to big for you now!
I've make a spreadsheet on Excel to record EVERYTHING I eat and drink, every bit of exercise I do, and what my weight and BMI will be a few months down the road when I stick to my diet. It sounds obsessive, but it really helps me think about what I'm eating and doing to improve my health, confidence and appearance.

curious kate
that's a good idea! spesh when stuck in front of the PC all day! by the time I get home I sometimes forget what I have eaten!
Argh, reading my answer back, I sound like I have OCD and religiously write everything down! It helps keep me on track though!

I also meant TOO big, not to big!
God no, you havent got an OCD!
If you need to get things done then writing things down are the only way forward! I am constantly writing things down at work! (apart from what I eat that is ;0) )
