A friend of mine got me some wool (14 balls) for me to continue to knit my "trauma teddies", unfortunately she smokes ( I do not ) and the wool now smells of smoke whilst kept in her house not sure how to get rid of the smell, I certainly can't knit with smelly wool !!! Any suggestions? , Thank you

Is the wool in loose balls. Can you get one of those indoor clothes driers with pegs. Peg the balls on it and hang outside or near an open window for a couple of days. Also spray with febreeze anti smell

Get a medium sized onion and cut it into quarters. Put the wool and all the pieces of the onion into a plastic bag and leave for 48 hours. Remove and check results.
