Agchristie.... argh! Poor you! Yeah those voice recognition things don’t tell the diff between “m” and “n” and my surname and postcode has both. Or “d” and “e” etc etc etc !!!!
i have, try and get through to doctor, EE, Barclays especially where you have to enter all your details only to go through the whole rigmarole when you finally and this is a maybe, get through to some disembodied nobody. who isn't bothered about your problems, only going through the motions of so called helping.
got locked out of my laptop, what a wretched performance to get a new log in. and don't get me started on the firkin council, who
have no manners, no customer support, no methodology to be a support, working from home numpties who tell you so in that oh so supercilious voice, i could and do often bang the computer, phone, and nearly ripped out the thing when going through to any of these call centres.
Its like living in the Dark Ages.Everything,absolutely bloody everything is hard work...
What I hate is companies that don't allow for non-touch tone phones.

eg. don't press a key and hope that you then get into the main ohone system to be answered by a human only for the phone system to say "we did not detect a response - good bye"
I don't know how true it is today, but when touch tone phones became the norm I was told that the secret was just to press a random selection of keys. The system would recognise your response but couldn't understand it so you would be automatically transferred to a human.
Not much good for those of us who have a dial phone :(
// a dial phone //

Seriously !? Where do you live, Kazakhstan?
Even they have modern phones.
