When my two grand daughters stay I make a point of us have a cooking session. They are aged 7 and 4 and are extremely clued up on food storeage, handling and prep hygiene.I was most impressed. Last visit we made pizzas using crumpets as bases and devised a marinara for their uncle. We made a new menu every day and all the adults had the good grace to tuck in and show their appreciation and gave constructive comments and advice.
Absolutely. How disheartening for a child to have people not try the food they made the effort to make.

I bet, odds on, that the food a child makes you is coming from a much cleaner kitchen than your local chipper or takeaway.
Dear me jj, you do ask some odd questions.
Yes, if it was my children (been there, done that) or more recently my grandchildren, then yes, of course I would, why wouldn’t I?
If it was some random kid knocking on the door, then no.
I guess it depends if they are your own kids or not. I don't have kids myself but eat my nieces attempts. Gleefully, (ok sometimes its not gleeful but I pretend for her sake anyway!) . After all what's a bit of nose-bogies between an auntie and her only niece :)
