Some (only a few) answerers bang on and on, and are obviously competent touch-typists. Their answers are sometimes interesting, more often just words upon words.

Is it time for a restriction on the length of answers, to say 300 or 400 words? Or maybe something more sophisticated, like everyone getting 1000 words a month, and after that, they shut up!

It might make for better answers, at least more thought out and succinct.

I have no interest in those long , long , long replies. They go unread. I wonder do the repliers talk incessantly in * the real world * . ?

// everything I say will be taken down and used as evidence//

no Mama pointed out to me in a strongly worded post
that it was NOT done to mine down in someones posts
and select the most hilariously stupid and hold it up for renewed ridicule
so I dont - I jst memorise them as they get churned out
Why would you think that, Rowan? What you've said is there for all to read anyway. Having said that, one member is in the habit of copying and pasting the whole of practically every post he responds to - and it always makes me laugh when the original is deleted and his copy remains.
It wasn't you it was aimed at Peter, I gave up trying to understand half of your posts ages ago, what I do understand is fine I just don't sweat the bits that go over my head.

I have to say since they tweaked my meds I am feeling very twitchy and argumentative, trying very hard not to bring it here.

naomi - // Having said that, one member is in the habit of copying and pasting the whole of practically every post he responds to ... //

That's because other posts can appear in the middle while a reply is being composed, leading to confusion.

C & P'ing saves the tedious job of having to go back and find the post that the response is addressed to, and it saves having to type "That was to ... " which you have to do on a regular basis.
Rowan, I hope you feel less twitchy soon .
Anne, perhaps I will create a new identity and run riot... After years of being Mrs Reasonable (mostly)

Echoing anne's sentiments, Rowan. Can't think what to suggest, so you'll have to make do with my very best wishes.

With kindness,

Allen.
Goodness knows how we poor confused souls manage to understand anything without AH to copy it out for us.
Why don't you just say 'Naomi -' and then answer. If people are following the thread they'll know what you're answering.

What you do Andy is section out your C&P and answer it bit by bit. It means we end up reading the same post twice! Tedious.
Rowan, you'd probably feel less 'twitchy' if you took off your 'twitche's' hat. see what i did there? I'll get me coat:-)

"What you do Andy is section out your C&P and answer it bit by bit. It means we end up reading the same post twice! Tedious." Agreed ummmm, although possibly it's double-tedious...
