I went to the eye doctor, and she put drops to numb the eye and then a small device that touches the eye. The first eye went ok, but with the second one, I couldnt stop blinking and she couldnt get the device in.

I have asperger syndrome and general anxiety. Just wondered, if I can get anti anxiety pills from my doctor, will I be able to take one next time? Or would that interfere with the results from the test?

Sorry...I didn't see your last sentence........no there is no drug reaction between Valium and local eye anaesthetic drops.

prescription anxiety pills take a few weeks to actually start working. Have you tried Rescue Remedy drops from the health store, I find they help when feeling stressed.
the best person to ask is the eye doctor.
I would have thought that it would be a good idea to take a relaxing pill e.g Diazepam or similar. These "sedative" pills act quickly and it is antidepressants that may take weeks to act.

Not for the first time wrong information re antidepressants and anti anxiety medication .
I have sensitive corneas and contacts are a non starter
sedative - I would try something shorter than valium - (take it on the first of the month and you are still feeling glooby on the 31st) if you can get it - Midaz sprints to mind.

and no there is no interaction

is VERY technical but basically says Valium is used as a premed and doesnt do diddly squat to pressures.

I have no idea why Anne A has got her whip out and is flailing or who she is flailing at - but hey this is AB!
