YouTube requires an internet connection. Perhaps your Freeview box has lost its connection to your router.
You may have to log in to your YouTube account in settings on your tv or freeview box.

Thank you for the advice I don't know how to log on to youtube on my freeview box everything else that needs internet connection is working perfectly and when I click on YouTube it normally brings up my name and asks to confirm that it is me it has stopped doing that and keeps on redirecting me to YouTube.com so anyone could be using my account.
What make is your tv?

My tv brand is technika I got it from Tesco many years ago and everything else is working perfectly fine.
Some televisions lose access to services because the manufacturer stops updating the sets to meet new requirements. https://conversation.which.co.uk/technology/smart-tv-samsung-youtube-app/

I can find no recent posts from other people with Technika televisions having the same problem as you. You could try resetting your television - press the MENU button on the remote and go to the SETUP menu. Then select the RESET TO DEFAULT option and confirm, or check the manual on how to do this for your particular model.

If you still can't get YouTube to open consider buying an Amazon Firestick or similar from around £30 - this should give you YouTube and other apps. Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation

I've thought some more about this. If your tv allows 'casting' you may be able to 'cast' YouTube from your phone, laptop or pc to the tv screen.

If you're trying to watch YouTube via your Freeview box then your TV is irrelevant. It's your Freeview box that's doing the connecting to the internet etc and then just sending the picture digitally to the TV.
I missed the 'box' and thought it was her tv.
easily done, barry.
I call my tv 'the box'
What make and model is the freeview box?

My freeview box is human freeview play he recorder model number is FVP-5000T
I would suggest a reset to default but of course this will wipe out all your settings, your recordings and your planned recordings as if it had just come out of the box. Not ideal but very much a last resort.

This doesn't seem to be a current problem with your machine so I doubt that YouTube has been stopped by Humax - all I can suggest is that you contact Humax support here https://uk.humaxdigital.com/support/?category_id=12&product_id=3793?category_id=12&product_id=3793

Thank you for the advice I have looked on the internet and this actually seems to be a problem with all humax boxes as YouTube actually updated and when it did it actually stopped everyone with a humax box to be unable to use YouTube.
It is still advertising YouTube as an app for your model https://uk.humaxdigital.com/product/fvp-5000t/

Do you get the 'You are being redirected to YouTube.com' when you try to load the app? Some people are saying they suddenly cannot access YouTube even though their last update was in June,

Contact Humax support anyway.
