All the switches I have undertaken in the past two or three years have transferred my incoming payments without me having to contact the organisation who pays me. I'm not talking about invoices and one-off payments - the new bank obviously could not cope with that. I'm talking about payments I receive regularly.

don't decide till it becomes due in a year's time and you can see what's on offer. Go back to a previous bank if they'e improved their terms.
