Some good races today. Shame about the weather/going. I don't bother looking at the form now. I just wait for Ken to post and bet all his. ;-)

Reading a piece on the Mullins' mule last night and apparently it was fancied for this race last year but didn't (or wouldn't) go to post. I had a very good look at it's stats and found it almost impossible to fancy. That's why he trains winners and i have trouble finding them:-)))

I'll probably kick myself but I've done that blumming Gulliver again. York 3:10@16/1.
I would have bet Cadillac at evens today. It's 9/1. Because of the going, I guess? I'll just rely on Mrs Harrington knowing a bit more than me. ;)
Be interesting to see how Van Gogh runs in the prior race as Cadillac has beaten it quite easily twice.
(Just hope O'Brien doesn't switch it for Love)
Drugging horses last week and tried to pull off a 'Gay Future' yesterday.
He's a bigger fiddler than his dad, Vincent, was. ;-)
Anyway, good luck all today.
"I just wait for Ken to post and bet all his. :-)" That way lies bankruptcy :-)

Bit too early for me to study the stats, Spice. But just had a quick look at Gulliver and my main reservation would be that he won this race last year on the back of two 3rd placed attempts - both good efforts. Doesn't appear to be in the same vein of form this time around. Still, 16/1 is a good e.w. price and i'm sure you'll find a firm offering extra places. Best of luck. Back later.
Crikey Spice...you were on the gallops early. What a day of racing to come, cracking G1 Dewhurst, the heritage Sprint Trophy handicap, and the marathon Cesarewitch heritage handicap. I know what you say about the soft going Spice but it is not unusual at this time of the year and a lot of flat horses are safely tucked away from hard or firm ground all spring and summer because they dislike, or just do not act on it. This is their time to shine. The races that are run on soft ground are crucial in that they do not dissuade breeders from using horse what are soft ground types and such horses are also critical in the breeding of National Hunt horses. Some horse even excel under both codes as todays Cesarewitch field indicates and readily cross over from flat to hurdles races. Few of these horses like hard ground or are even risked on it by their handlers. Anyway, pontification over and I have even managed to make my choices. I have done the following horses in the ITV7 with a Trixie*** and the usual 4 timer with Doubles and Trebles⁕⁕⁕⁕ It was hard to leave out Tactical in the Dewhurst and Reshoun in the Cesarewitch so I have done little e/w singles on them at 50/1 and 80/1....I know...I know. Good luck all round.

//using horse what// should read "using horses that"

Don't know what happened there.....must have been thinking like your 3.10 runner Spice.
As one would expect, trawling through the stats has taken longer than usual - feel like i've put a full shift in:-/ If i am still standing - and that includes the e.w. - come the last of the 7 races, it would be a minor miracle. If i manage to get all 7 placed, it would put all JC's (alleged) miracles well and truly in the shade :-))

As you can see, i am relying on Mr Fahey and the O'Brien clan, today;

ITV 7; Internationaldream*, Dear Sire, Van Gogh**, Spirit Dancer*, Thunder Moon**, Mr Lupton* and Coltrane. £1 e.w. acca.

Though i have chosen Coltrane, that is purely for the sake of the ITV7. I have had 30 bob e.w. on Just Hubert @ 25/1 with Sky who are paying 8 places.

*Denotes Patent and e.w. Treble @ 17/2, 8/1 (4 places) and 17/2 (6 places).3 placed = £15, 3 winners = £1,174. Win singles with 365.

**Denotes £1 Trixie, £1 Treble @ 9/2 and 5/2 along with Kyprios (5/2) 1.45 New. Poss £185 return.

Good luck guys - we're gonna need it!
Good arrer, Spice. You were rewarded for sticking with it. Nice drift to 20s, too :-))
Well Spice ...you have stuck with it all year and probably deserve the win. Another horse that comes to hand in the Autumn.
Snap Ken.
Did a L15/e.w. acca on Master Zoffany , Dear Sire and 2 still to run (Sir Psycho and Society Red). Did my usual win/e.w. singles on them and as Dear Sire has already obliged @ 9/1, am in pocket. So i've just had a little e.w. tickle on the bottom weight in the cavalry charge @ 50/1 to 8 places.
Matt Chapman's just extolled the virtues of Bet365 for going 1/4 odds for 6 places and Willy Hills for going 1/5 odds for 7 places. I cannot believe that he is not aware of Sky's 1/5 odds for 8 places seeing as how he also works for them?
One of my brothers did One Ruler, Gulliver and Lynwood Gold in the 3.35 in a "good bet" Trixie Just had a quid on it as well. That'll goose his bet. I reckon he did a £5 Trixie and the singles.
Wellllll ... what a performance by Mullins again. That horse looked like a ghost galloping home. What a sight it was. Great white Shark indeed.

I can believe the tale about it's reluctance to start Ken. It was shaping like a beach donkey for the first mile and then just seemed to get a bit relentless, and carried on doing it better with every stride. It is a real shame that some great performances have gone without a crowd to appreciate them in the flesh. You know the feeling ... there is nothing like being there. Mcfabulous for the Stayers Hurdle?
Must admit i was quit impressed by it's performance yesterday. Only setback for me is that Nicholl's stats in the stayers is skewed by Big Bucks' multiple successes. Long way to go yet, m8. We all have to survive this pesky C19 thingummyjig. I have two daughters who are tested on a regular basis because of their occupations. Eldest has symptoms but has just tested negative. Youngest doesn't have any symptoms but has just tested positive. Because i've been in the car with her twice this week, i've just had to have the test done. I, too, have no symptoms. See what the results are next week.
Strewth Ken ... hope it goes OK for you all.
