Who would you choose as the best frontman of a rock or pop group, Freddie Mercury has got to be up there, Mick Jagger is a bit weird imo, he dances really strangely and he puts on a strange squeaky type voice on, but I'm pretty certain he'd be in the top 5, Roger Daltrey, Jon Bon Jovi, Liam Gallagher, Kurt Cobain and Jim Morrison will be well placed, what is your favourite?

best ones I've actually seen would be Jagger and Ray Dorset. Rod Stewart was great when I saw him last year but he wasn't really fronting anything.

It's an entirely subjective question - it depends on who you like, rather than who you think is the best.

I would say, as objectively as possible, it has to be Freddie Mercury, because he took the concept of a 'front man' and elevated it to a level unseen before or since.

I will second that opinion,Zappa was the coolest man ever,not only a brilliant musician,but a great thinker with the most distinguished speaking voice,still loved and still missed by many.
