How many individuals would be required for a viable species to be viable? Or do you think that they come into the loch individually from the North Sea via the Caledonian Canal?

I have no idea.. But I've been to Loch Ness twice in the last 3 years and I can tell you that we got a small video which showed a wake and no boat going towards Fort Augustus.. Picked up on smart phone disappeared in about ten 12 seconds

Sonar picks up an image, and suddenly it's a creature likely to feed on this and that ? Scotland short of tourists or something ?

Wakes are probably just small wildlife swimming in a straight line.
