I bought a small one yesterday to put in slow cooker today. Do I need to add any liquid with it?? Or just straight in......

I'm not a fan of brisket so no recent experience. But, all the recipes I've seen suggest 1.5-2 cups liquid for a 1.5kg joint.

I always add liquid. Uusally beef stock with a bit of ale or red wine.
