I don't think it's ever been an official rule, but it's often suggested that at least in News, ABers should actually ask a question rather than just making a statement or providing a link: people like to know just what they're responding to. Teacake is by no means the first to suggest this.

Like most of you I thought cb was meant for natter and nonsense.
Personally I like both teacakes and scones. If using jam and cream I hope you all remember it is jam first and then cream. Toasted teacakes are lovely especially spread with unsalted butter.
