Anyone help with this please?

Ive no problem with the conversion of various file formats etc, to DVD, but would be grateful if anyone could point me in the direction as to how (if possible) to burn a DVD from an AVI file but then add in the subtitles so that they are in effect embedded? I can watch the film on the PC using VLC with the subtitle option, but really want to burn and keep this one (Das Boot - the full series). Its 3 x AVI files and also 3 x subtitle files , one for each disc.

Any ideas would we appreciated.

Thanks
