How do you copy something from WhatsApp into a post on AB ?

I don't get that copy icon appearing in the toolbar ( square in front of a square ) when I tap and hold down the message I want to copy

Do you see any menu icon that might offer copy ?

What i see is from left to right is -

an arrow - the number 1 - a curved arrow - a star with a line through it - a bin symbol - a curved arrow - 3 dots

Try tapping on the menu icon (3 dots) and selecting copy. One assumes you selected already what you want copied.

Ok i see what is happening here

If I tap a message which is a message that was not copied in the first place by the person posting it then I get the copy symbol

However if they have copied text / pictures etc I don't get the symbol

I don't know if I've explained that clearly

What I'm saying is that if their post is something which they have linked from somewhere else then I don't get the copy symbol if I then try to copy their post

Is there any othet way to copy something that someone else has copied in their post?

You need to hold the message then click the three dots you will get copy it and paste any where you want.
