Felt sorry for Katie in the final Chase she answered 15 questions giving them a total of 17.The Vixen just got there with 3 seconds to spare.Jane was just a passenger, don’t they have auditions?
I believe so, have a go - quite a wait I've heard.

Get on there and show us how it's done Grumpy.

Years ago I did go on Treble Chance on the radio. Our Captain was Glyn Worsnip off That’s Life.A nice guy who succumbed to illness far too soon.
In 2019 the waiting list was three years long.

As I said Baldric I know nerves come into play but some answers or passes that some people give really make me wonder. As for going on there they want people who come across on TV.With a name like Grumpy my opportunities would be very limited.
They're bound to take some contestants who don't know much otherwise they'd be giving too much money away and as for why they even try I've seen loads of people win money based on the efforts of others without answering anything correctly in the final chase.
That woman was dreadful.....and she didn't seem at all embarrassed that all her potential winnings were won by the other girl..£1??? Disgraceful....I couldn't believe her sheer cheek.
Katie suggested 'peridot' for the August birthstone. I think that Jane then said 'jade', if she had said nothing Katie would probably have given the correct answer
Had the pair won by one point, that would have been the extra point gained by her reaching the final.
I had an interview for the Chase a couple of years ago (after being successful on Pointless). About 20 of us in the room and (not blowing my own trumpet) I was by far the most 'intelligent'...so when they said 3 people made it to the next stage everyone said "you'll be one"; but I wasn't. They don't want intelligent people; they want people with back stories. Eg one guy was writing a childrens book "so he could read a bedtime story to his kids"! So if you ever apply, make sure you have a good 'story' about yourself you can use.
Oh blimey, sd. I always Ff through their life histories and their hopes of what they’ll do with their (improbable) winnings.
They do need a few duffers on though. Just so we can say ‘Did you see that silly woman on ‘whatever’ last night?
It was her silly giggling and the "look at me, I'm blonde and dim" attitude that got on my nerves. Why would you think being dim is good?
