Is it country wide?
Cant get around my city for 'tempory' traffic lights.
Is it something to do with 5g cable laying? Or do I just live in a permanent building site?
Thanks.

I'm no expert but I think 5G is "post cable".

That's why it can give you Coronavirus and cooties.

I know there's a big push in my town for fibreoptic so we can have all that rubbish on Sky even quicker. :-)
I guess furlough caused a backlog of work
No Nails. With the new and exciting opportunities that have miraculously appeared due to the panned emic provided window of convenience, Local Author Ratties everywhere have unexpectedly sprung into previously unknown action. They find themselves with coffers full, and pension schemes topped up to a level that any more contributions would likely invite corruption investigation, and money that has to be spent before the year gets much older or they will not get the same size bribe from government central next year. So to satisfy their vanity and woke aspirations have decided to turn every road in their area into a cycle lane or skateboard/scooter friendly safe space. The narrowing of the roads that are left, will of course, result in traffic jams and congestion that will require more green taxes and the cyclists who demanded the cycle lanes in the first place will be disappointed that they cannot annoy anyone when they use them so will still use the roads or pavements anyway.
Cynical truth-sayer. :-)
One man's cynicism is another mans reality.
You are Rylan Clark-Neale and I claim my five pounds.
They're everywhere. I live in South London and there is always some road digging occuring near me all year round. Temporary lights take ages to change as well.
Stoke. Perhaps they're getting indoor plumbing.
I thought it might be one of those vacuum tube delivery systems, that posh shops had, to deliver warm Oatcakes to every home Spice. That's progress for you. I used to deliver em, on a bike, on roads that had no cycle lanes and loads of ferocious dogs. The people were always amazed at how warm they still were but they didn't realise how fast the dogs were.
Aye, I know. Blumming kids today, no idea, mate, no idea.
How is that building work under London going -
Is it tube lines or something ?
Same down here in the SW. Perhaps they’re laying the cables we’ve been promised for super fast broadband
