They came through our village last Thursday. I got one decent pic; the Bora German team with one of the lads on his mobile phone saying, "No!! I don't want insulation for a Euro!!

Etch, if you stand at the corner with the signpost and look south, there's an open area to the left where our petanque terrain is - you can see the two floodlight posts. I'll be there tonight, sipping rose in between games until midnight.

Atheist; yep, I can see the car park and the 'terrain'. Enjoy your games, and the rose. I hadn't played petanque for years, but the hotel where we stayed on Fuerteventura earlier this year provided it as one of the entertainments so we took part in several sessions.

Etch, by the way, rose is meant to be rosay, but I can't make accents happen here. I love petanque. Hardly any equipment needed, no special field or goalposts/hoops/nets. Old and young can play and you don't have to be super-fit. All petanquists are welcoming and proud to teach their sport to newcomers without being arrogant or patronising. At least they are where I am. Lots of world championship finals on youtube.

Atheist, don't worry, I knew you meant "rosé" (and "pétanque"). If you have an "Alt Gr" key on your keyboard then holding it down and pressing a vowel key should give an acute accent: áéíóú

Atheist; that's good! Unfortunately I don't think there is such a simple method to generate grave accents. An "è" can be done by holding down the "Alt" key and typing 0232 using the numeric keypad (in "Num Lock" mode) then releasing "Alt".
"à" is Alt+0224
"â" is Alt+0226
"ç" is Alt+0231
