According to BBC TV this morning the government have told GPs they have to see there patients face to face when required, the required part worries me a little.

Do you mean it is having to tell them it is required teacake? If it is then I agree with you. It has become a total joke now, GP's should have their salaries cut if they dont want to do the job, everyone else if having to and indeed some surgeries are coping. //The days of popping to your Doctor for a chat are gone for now and may never return.// Well they should never...

No you were being sarcastic, like always, go away because its obvious you have little else with your day.
Errr didn't YOU detail the thread making that rude comment about naomi 'hovering' ???

No probs naomi.
^ 'derail' ..
Teacake, you're mistaken. I didn't know what you were talking about .... but if rudeness is the best you can manage, not to worry.

^ Your not so hot either then, detail?

13.01 Try reading the thread and you will know what I'm talking about. Like I say go away.
Teacake, I've read the thread. I've no idea why the 'required' bit worries you - which is why I asked. That seems fine to me.

Incidentally, you shouldn't be telling anyone to go away for asking a legitimate question.

Your being sarcastic, and I'm asking you again to leave the thread if you have nothing other than that to offer.
As far as I can see, it's a legitimate question. Anyway I'm off ...
Jesus. Just answer Naomi's question, teacake and maybe your thread will have some semblance of intelligence. Maybe.

A fair request for all GPs to see patients who need a face to face appointment.

The days of popping to your Doctor for a chat are gone for now and may never return.

Well they should never have existed. A doctors time is expensive and people who clogged the system have been a problem for decades (And yes I do know having known various GP's persanlly over the years) add to this the DNA's and you have a costly problem.

A model that should be adopted should be the triage one. Many things can be dealt with over the phone/video so deal with them that way. This would keep the numbers down, reduce surgery waiting times and reduce exposure to diseases floating around the surgery. It may also help with the DNA issue.
'Becomes' YMB.
Sorry wrong thread.
