We used to have this in the 1970's & early 1980's but cannot remember where it originated. Mum thinks it's from Ireland?

I think it's from Sainsburys not Ireland. In our shop it's on a shelf above the frozen food chests near tinned steak pies

when i was very very very young you could get chickens in a tin true!
The 'Casserole' brand was produced in Ireland. Way back I knew the sales agent who covered the West Riding of Yorkshire.
I haven't seen it for some years. But it may be that the firm still exists but packs 'own labels' for the Supermarkets.
