Would like to know the opinions of ABers on this.

Just how practical is it?

How likely is the new ruling to be followed?

237SJ, I expect the government would like to limit groups to 6 everywhere, including the workplace. But that would make work impractical (since, as I know from reading AB posts, the country is heading for imminent economic catastrophe), so an exception is made for co-workers.

In effect, it's okay to risk death if it helps Britain's GDP, but not otherwise.
ff - how do you think that face mask that you have slapped across your chops got into this country? It was brought in by aviation workers who worked a 30 hour shift to China and back. Maybe they should have refused to go because they might catch Covid whilst working and having a bit of R&R with their colleagues. There is risk in everything in life. You either take the risk or you don`t.
Due to visit my children and grandchildren on the other side of the country next week. We haven’t seen each other since Christmas. Missed daughter’s 50th birthday and youngest granddaughter’s first. Now we won’t be able to celebrate as a family. When I heard the restrictions I was distraught!
My children have worked out that if I stay with one child and my husband with the other it is OK. But no family celebration.
I could though, go on a bus or a train with strangers, eat in restaurant near strangers and go to school etc., but not with family. It’s madness!
I hope that the immigrants crossing the Channel realise that it's a max of six per boat from Monday on, as the seventh could cost up to an extra £3200.
So, our tiny choir of 6 (4 households) is 'iffy'. OK. That means that BLM & XR marches will have to be rigidly policed and checked. This seems to be a reasonable first step, does it not?
