I took out a tablet from a satchet and found that it was broken into two pieces

Given that it is a SR ( slow release ) medication - is it ok to take it ,given that it is not a whole tablet ?

"Important considerations for taking verapamil

Keep these considerations in mind if your doctor prescribes verapamil oral capsules for you.

General

You can take the extended-release capsule with or without food. (The drug maker does not indicate whether you should take the immediate-release tablet with or without food.)You can cut the extended-release tablet, but don’t crush it. If you need to, you can cut the tablet in half. Swallow the two pieces whole"
1) one day without half the dose of a BP loweri g drug is no big dealintge big picture.
2)You are still getting the same pharmacological effect with the tablet whole or in pieces.
