Does anyone have a manual microwave that has its controls flush to the surface of the oven. I need them to be as near as possible to the surface, so that I can "dot up" the numbers of the dials, etc so that I can "read" them - a touch screen oven will not do. Ta Very Muchly.

Yes Zacs and they're talking big money, if it's the one I'm thinking of, but Thanks for your time and I'll go and have a look - har har!
Question Author
Yep Zacs, it's the one I thought, either sold by those guys or rnib, but Many Thanks again, but even a cheaper oven must have manual controls that are what I need, hopefully!...now, who had the ASDA one?...I wonder if those controls will suit...can't remember the ABer who had the ASDA oven, but if you're out there - or I'll go and check my earlier threads!
We have a Russell Hobbs and it has 4 flush buttons as the only control.

The first two are microwave and defrost, adding 30 seconds each push.

The other two are stop and start
Question Author
Yeah Zacs, just been revisiting old threads and found it way back in May, asking more or less same question and Margie and Ginge helping out...not been able to get to ASDA yet...and I will have a look Hopkirk, if you can give model name and number?...sorry to be a bore about this, must be a gift, eh!...smile. Take Care All and any more ovens welcome!
Argos have one like ours at £84.99.

I am struggling to paste a link, but here is the detail, ending in the Argos catalogue number.

Russell Hobbs 700W Standard Microwave RHEM1901B - Black 916/3618
That's the one, thanks Mamy
That's a nice simple oven Hopkirk, ideal for anyone who doesn't use different power levels etc - and having no turntable is a boost. I am forever dislodging mine.
Yes, it's really good, and looks good too.
No turntable, is a bonus. Cleaning it out is easy.
Question Author
Many Thanks for that Hopkirk...sure it's okay without a turntable or is that just a myth about all-round cooking?...still, all I have to worry about now are the travails about ordering on Argos, hey-ho - and Great Smiles To You Mamya, if it's got your say-so, then it must be okay!
It seems to work fine without a turntable.

However if I open it stir something, I rotate the plate a bit, just in case.

I really like the simplicity of the controls. I never understand why most microwave ovens have so many features and options, which never get used.
I have one without a turntable and it’s fine. As suggested earlier. it is much easier to clean.
Thank you for the link, Ive just ordered one. The video explains that the interior diamond structure at the back improves cooking performance by reflecting the microwave energy, cooking the food evenly.
Woodelf,
are you sorted with your microwave now? x
Question Author
No, not yet Eleanor, I think I'll have to wait until I see one for real, so to speak, not that that disrespects all of your help, but to feel for real is the deal...smile!
woodelf, I wanted to tell you I bought one & having once worked for a blind lady as you know, I reckon it would be ideal for you.
Hopkirks suggestion ... & mamyas link just under that at 13.12.
I'm sure you are used to memorizing things. This microwave has very easy buttons. Top button microwave with increases of 30 seconds until 5 mins & then increases by 1 min until 60 mins.
Second button is defrost ... same increments.
Third button is the stop/ cancel button
Fifth and last button is the start button.
& as Mamya suggests, no dislodging the turntable as there isn't one!

Erm, I wasn't thinking of spending that much, to be truthful!
