Boy #1 has gone out for a meal this evening so I thought I’d look at the menu. On the lunch menu is ‘filled bread’? They’re sandwiches!

You can also get fish finger, cured ham or smoked salmon (with different stuff). They present them really nicely and and there’s lots of accompanying ‘stuff’. But they’re not sandwiches, they’re ‘filled bread’.
Fish fingers in a sarnie?
Oh please, Jack.
Cooo, do love a fish finger butty - am hungry now.
Sorry - 'Filled bread'
''They present them really nicely''

On a roof slate or a piece of driftwood or maybe a small shovel...

Not my thing, but fish finger sarnies/filled bread are a culinary delight (I’m considering referring to sandwiches as filled bread from now on, see which one of the kids snaps first).
I once had soup on a slate Snags - my fault,I shouldn't have been up there.

Snags, I’m the first one to get hacked off about shovels, etc but these look like they’ve made an effort and they don’t look stingy with the fillings and the accompanying stuff (no idea what the stuff is, hard to tell from the photo).
can't beat soup served in a stiletto.
Ugh. What next, custard in a condom ?
I wonder if these places do crisp sarnies?
//(no idea what the stuff is, hard to tell from the photo).//

Probably filled bread rolled into balls and deep fried
We used to have bread filled with a drizzle of fresh granulated sugar.
I like the sound of the steak and marmalade one, but am also very happy with my own home made ham and cranberry sauce 'filled bread' !
