I could not believe what I heard on the news today they were doing an article on not using cash , most people now using cards instead and they said that buskers now have card machines

It isn't that new in London at least - if I had no change and wanted to pay them, I'd use a card.

the last time I saw one they were still putting pennies in a hat
I suppose most of the spare change goes on the beggars on the upturned bread trays who sit outside every supermarket, at least in Edinburgh.

A logical step for those giving something for the money instead of just a pained look and a dog on a string.

But no, I wouldn't use a card near any old sort on a street corner.
People are strange.

Wouldn't interest me.
