It seems intercepted here generally means 'escorted to safety on English soil'. I hope the Commons Committee can find out why so many want to flee from safety in France and can find a solution which doesn't mean us taking most of them in and encouraging even more to try. If the migrants are hoping to escape the Covid spike in France they may be disappointed.

"What is libfac?"

Although under continual update I could not find it here );o

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newspeak#List_of_Newspeak_words
It's a portmanteau of Liberal Fascists, you know the ones who make the "rules" about what your opinion should be on any given subject. Yes I know LibFas but that's sounds wrong so I went with LibFac to rhyme with tack. You won't find it in "newspeak" because it's TTTspeak.
I am sure it's been explained before but ummm likes to pretend she doesn't understand.
Aren’t you proud that the world’s downtrodden want to get to the sanctuary of the UK?

We have a tradition of kindness to such people, thank god.
No...I haven't seen it explained before. It shouldn't have to be explained, you should type in English.
the portmanteau is well know in English.

@ 1159.
How many are you going to take in then Allen?
good idea Balders, all the LibFacs should open their spare rooms and put them up.
//How many are you going to take in then Allen?//

Probably the same number a Yvette Balls-Cooper and Ms Sturgeon (who both said they would "welcome the opportunity to give a Syrian refugee a place in my home") have, Balders. i.e. none, zero, zilch, one less than one.
Is this why our beaches are over crowded when the sun comes out. :0)))))))
//Aren’t you proud that the world’s downtrodden want to get to the sanctuary of the UK? //

Last I heard they were all highly educated people fleeing their war-torn homelands.
12/04, Before one can type in English, that person has to be able to speak English.
Four years ago the BRITANNIA Airport Hotel in Manchester was emptied of guests and then filled with immigrants. Having watched the video of Nigel Farage that I think Theland put on, I checked to see the latest state of play, and they have now 're-opened' and are taking bookings. However, another of their Hotels, The Ashley Hotel states 'We're sorry but this property isn't taking reservations on our site right now' and which ever date I chose to book a room it states 'This Hotel is unavailable for your selected dates' I wonder.........
Not only 4 star hotels, a tour of Anfield as well just after Liverpool fc won the premier league.
tonyav, perfect...britain the land of freebies..well at the tax payers expense..and more arriving daily.
Yes fender, makes you sick doesn't it.
//We have always been told that we cant not give them the benefits becasue of the EU. I'd like to know the reason now because the silence is deafening. //

Well, good question. If you voted to leave the EU and nothing's changed, perhaps you've been had.
Another problem,Tomus,is after the 31st of December Britain will no longer have the"Dublin Agreement".We wont be able to send these people back to France. There could be a lot of major, major problems with these people next year.At present we can send them back to France. Not next year. :-(
