Poorly Laurel Bush - Any suggestions please? It has just been trimmed back - but poorly bits are now more obvious :(

That looks to me, like a cherry Laurel, which is not a true laurel.
I think they look better if pruned with secateurs rather than shears.
The fresh new growth should smarten it up!
