Flying Ants

Seems to be flying ant day today in my neck of the woods, they seem to be coming from everywhere. Is the same happening where you live.

Yes, they started yesterday but they’re out in force today - I irrationally hate them :(

Ours left last week but judging by the numbers of wheeling gulls today, others have left this afternoon.

I've seen a few over the past couple of days...not flying,just on the path. Certainly not the usual clouds of them.

There was certainly no shortage of flying ants in Baldric's part of the country a fortnight ago!

When I was a child we thought they were precursors to thunderstorms if you could kill 100 of the big ones the storm wouldn't happen. As they don't come out before storms, I thought it worked. Love storms now

We had hordes of them a couple of weeks ago. Horrible things.

We had them last week, horrible things.
They’ve managed to excavate under and into the conservatory. We were away for a few nights and came back to a conservatory full of them, been trying to eradicate them ever since, to the point I’m now obsessed by the blighters!

Had them in the kitchen just over a week ago. They moved on when the ant powder was sprayed around. Damned nuisances.

no, they are a nuisance though
