Should I Consider The Fact That I Don't Have That Kind Of Skill(At Least Till Now) Before Making A Choice Regarding Career

i wish to choose the skills which i don't have for my under graduation instead of the conventional course which my parents assumed for me , am i not being practical (i.e. not accepting the reality) ?

I would advise you choose carefully, if you over estimate your ability then you are likely to struggle.

Choose something you are capable of but that also gives you scope to improve.
Can you tell us the course that your parents want you to do and what you consider are your skills?
No one has skills until taught, practiced, and have gained experience. Beyond that, I think one needs specifics of your case in order to voice an opinion.
Only an old style apprenticeship will prepare you fully for any job/career. Most people get their first proper job because the employer can see they have the potential to learn and to fit in with their organisation. Then you learn what the job is all about & (hopefully) become proficient. Try to get into something you are really interested in - ideally something you would like to do even if you weren't being paid!
davebro so doctors and nurses should do apprenticeships.....that's interesting.....
woof - I said prepare you FULLY. Do you think a doctor straight out of med school doesn't have more learning to do "on the job"?

Or are they just appointed as consultants first off?
