not comparable, the article says he's charged with 2nd degree murder as well as tax evasion. Al Capone was jailed for 11 years for tax evasion as a vehicle to get him into jail when all the "real" charges failed to stick.
Question Author
but will the murder charge stick ?
and could he be jailed more easily for tax evasion ?
He is charged with Murder 3 and manslaughter so very likely that he will be found guilty of one or the other.
johnny, it may or may not stick but to take your assertion that the case should ring bells with the AC case, Capone was not trialled for murder.
Question Author
maybe so
but is it only me that saw the connection to vilify the cop in a suggested link to Al Capone as probably americas most famous tax evader ?
Yup.
AC died in the slammer didn't he? Of Syphilis?
July 1931
ring any bells
no I wasnt around then - - ter daaah !

I want BA for most useless and gormless comment, even for AB !

and I am doing the other AB speciality already seen a few times today- I havent read the article but that doesnt prevent me from commenting !
yes syphilis
all those freebies - came at a cost !
bit sepulchral - but hey did Capone have any redeeming facets? beside he loved his momma

oh time for a replay - Stephen Graham the scouser played him in Boardwalk Empire. Complete wiv Brooklyn accent - hes an actor you see. and came home to west Kairby where he was beaten up in a local pub .
The actor ruefully commented: the men of west kairby can tell the difference between a gangster and an actor .....

yeah go on . .. . somone say women cant either
more likely a jury will convict ?
