The world has gone crazy.

I suppose that buying a dog of that calibre is like buying a piece of machinery. I bet it won't need much training.
They are like German Shepherds - active dogs who love to be busy. As you say you are paying for the dog's genes and if it's a boy you can look forward to stud fees.

I will never understand people who pay silly money for one of the 'designer dogs'.

Nor me, Susan.
I hope it doesn't now become a target for thieves.
I have to admit LB that thought crossed my mind too - making that lovely dog's monetary worth so public is putting her at risk.
Mamya, when I lived in the Yorkshire Dales, there was a a sheepdog locked to its kennel by a longish heavy chain at the wide entrance to a farm, day and night month after month. The farmhouse could be seen in the distance but I never saw the farmer or any workers but I suppose it must have been worked sometimes. I felt so sorry for it, lying there bored, on its own day after day and anybody could have stolen it. I'm sure Tynygraig Jet will be better looked after and have a much better life than that poor creature.
I was going to say the same as Ladybirder re the theives. The more the dogs cost, the more they are a target for theives.
Thieves
Bumping this as I see Zacs is about.
No I hadn’t seen it so thanks Tilly. They are a piece of essential equipment just like a tractor but crazy prices! I think the world record is £15,000. If the price we paid for Ted is anything to go by, the record will be broken again in the next few months.
Thanks LB.

I'm glad you've seen it, Zacs. It shows how precious your little Ted is, as one of that breed.
