I Got Refund From Sainsbury's

...because my eggs broke. Delivery guy put in refund request for all items that got egg on them.

I find Sainsbury's very good like this. On two occasions my (Sainsbury's Bank) credit card has broken the checkout till which entails a re-boot which takes ages. On one occasion I was happy to wait, on the other they let me move my stuff to another checkout and put it through again. On both occasions they gave me £10 off my shopping as a goodwill gesture.

I have detailed the steps ( obv not 2 h in a q) elsewhere so others can follow: search PP & prime. it involved I had to OPEN an account with the card which had been diddled (*) and then a search etc
the clerk had egg on his face afterwards as I treated him to multiple copies of "not you-but Jeff Bezos, I hope Mrs Bezos takes him for all $200m she is claiming" - which he treated with equanimity with perhaps a hint of " I totally agree"
(*) yes you can sign up for prime without an account! - so altho YOU know the moolah is going out of your bank acct., no one knows where it is going ( perhaps Mrs Bezos' private acct but who knows) and so it cant be traced ( because trace involves "know where it went") -

oh I was stopped going out of Lidl by someone I knew ! and laboriously unpacked all my shopping - no kids comics or prophylactics that time phew! - "handed him the receipt and asked: which item do you think I havent paid for?"
and sort of got a -you have got away with it this time! look
and I did not shoot back a " yes I hve havent I " look
but more a typical AB " I have no idea what you are looking for" look
