I met a friend for coffee in a hotel bar yesterday. All very comfortable and Covid safe. They asked for my name and a contact number but otherwise it felt very normal. Today Mr M and I went for lunch at a seaside cafe, again very clean, spacious and safe. They too asked for our contact number.

We were saying when we got home though, if anyone rings to tell us someone else in the establishment has tested positive, we might just say wrong number. Next time we'll be Mr and Mrs Smith and give the local GP's phone number!

Has anyone else been out and about yet?

I guess if you don't want to know if you have been near someone infected you could give a false number.
Having only re-opened their doors on Sat, a small number of pubs have had to close them again. This follows notification that customers who had visited the said premises had since tested positive for Covid 19.

I didn't go, nor do I intend to go to a busy pub. Very choosy and cautious customers we are!
How can you say anywhere is covid safe? This virus is not visible.

The chairs and table were cleaned in front of us Anne; the staff wore visors and served us in a manner that both maintained social distancing and was contactless. The crockery was seal wrapped. We used hand sanitiser on entering and as we left.
Having to give out my number is one of the reasons I won’t be going to eat out.
