On Wednesday we are meeting up with family for the above. We are going to a beer garden at a local pub. There will be daughter, son in law, five grandchildren, OH and me. Can I hug my grandchildren yet, I am desperate!
However social distancing has only ever formed part of the guidelines; there's no mention of it in the Regulations. So grandparents who hug their grandchildren aren't actually breaking any laws (and never have been).
I’ve seen strangers hug each other outside my local pub.
I’m not quite sure what the rules are now.
I would wash hands for all parties, don’t sneeze or cough. And have a hug.
