I planted seeds indoors at least 3 weeks ago,given them the care give all seeds but nothing is through yet,do they take longer than usual ?

Longer is usual for them!.
I remember growing one in a large planter, some years ago and when I decided to dig it out, I discovered it had produced a huge fleshy root, taking up most of the pot.
