I am running windows 10 on my Lenovo laptop, my search engine is 'bing' and 'yahoo' email. Every time I log in to bing I receive a 'pop up' asking me to install the 'new microsoft edge' - the same with yahoo - 'upgrade to mail plus' - I DO NOT WANT the 'new microsoft edge' even though it's free, nor do I want to upgrade to 'mail plus' at a cost of a few quid. I am happy as I am. I have tried to install several free 'pop up' and 'ad blocker' programmes but ALL are useless and a waste of space, and I end up having to delete them. Is there a GOOD ad/pop up blocker that ACTUALLY does what it says on the tin please?
thanks folks.

Yahoo wants to make money out of you, so it's probably unsurprising that they promote their paid service. It's akin to the way that the providers of free anti-virus programs occasionally try to push their full security suites onto you, so you might have to put up with.

However I can't tell you what I think of Yahoo as an email service - AB doesn't permit the type of language I'd like to use here! Get yourself a decent email account and use the 'mail collector' facility to forward any mail sent to your Yahoo account to your new one:
