Cannot Uninstall Ms Office Which Was Part Installed!

Hello again

I tried to install MS Office from an old disc I had from my last laptop. It started to install but after 30 mins it 'stuck' and nothing I could do would make it install.

So as it was showing in my downloaded programs list I then tried to uninstall it from there. This would usually take only a few moments for most programs but after 20 mins it is still showing and I cannot get rid of it! Is there any way other that by I can remove it?

None of the parts of Office ie word , excel etc are working so does it matter if it remains my laptop?

Am now using Apache open office which works ok

Doesn't matter. Open Office and Libre Office are just as good and are free to download.

How old is the disc?

This might be better placed in 'Technology'.

I use REVO uninstaller to get rid of programs I no longer use. It is free to download and works well.

Thanks everyone. Tigger the disc is 5 years old but not used before.
Jackdaw - take your point. Might download Libre.

The Shedman. Will try Revo and let you know how it worked for me.
