How To Keep A Program But Not The Icon?

I have a programme on my laptop that I want to keep, but I don't want the icon showing on my screen. How do I remove the icon but keep the programme? I tried right-clicking but couldn't see any relevant option. Its gotta be an easy fix, but I can't suss it out!

Right-click and select 'Delete'. You should then see a message telling you that, if you proceed, you'll only delete the shortcut and not unistall the program but - as that's exactly what you want to do anyway - go ahead and do it anyway. (The program will still be available from the Start menu).
